Germany deploys troops on NATO’s eastern flank

The Bundeswehr has sent its new Armored Brigade 45 to Lithuania, Germany’s first permanent foreign troop deployment since World War II. Chancellor Friedrich Merz will attend the ceremonial roll call this week.
